Owner Bill Dillon has been bringing the best in live entertainment and good food to the residents and visitors of Tidewater since Abbey Road was established in 1982. After spending three and a half years in the food service industry bussing and waiting tables, Dillon decided in the summer of 1982 to open his own restaurant in the resort area of Virginia Beach. Having been heavily influenced by the Beatles when growing up, thanks to his two older sisters who listened to their records all the time, he decided to name it 'Abbey Road' after the last album the Beatles recorded before they split up in 1970 (thanks, Yoko).
